About the work

During 4 days I worked on the drawing on the windows of the KVS, arts centre with its theater halls in Brussels in the context of the the festival 'Armwoede/pauvérité/powerty', the week of the poverty.

From a black spot on the window develops light. From this core is growing a network. There arise breaks in the network. After 2 days, it is apparent that there is a huge luxurious luster that has developed next to a more basic light source.

These images are visible to the visitors, who see them grow and dissapear in the end. After all it is a part of the performance that they also will be erased during the performance. The choice of the images in determined by the function of an art-centre. But at the same time it is part of the street scene, where the local residents play a role in it.
The drawing depicts a network which is below and above ground developing.
